If you would like to donate to a specific Freire School program (i.e. service learning projects abroad, our i-Learn program, etc.) please consider sponsorship. Sponsorship allows you to assist us in providing some of our most valuable educational programs.
By sponsoring our technology program, service learning projects, etc., you are providing the children of Newark with a quality educational opportunity equivalent to their more affluent counterparts throughout our state, and nation.
Below is a list of programs that you may consider sponsoring to assist us in underwriting some of the costs of our most important school programs:
Service Learning Projects Abroad: Social Engagement, through service-learning projects abroad, allows our students to connect and apply knowledge to national and global issues for the purposes of learning more about themselves and their connection to the world. This allows our students graduate as “change agents,” committed to servicing others, and eliminating social inequities and discrimination.
i-Learn Program: Many students within our school will not have access to technologies that will allow them to expand their horizons. Through our i-learn program, each student will receive an i-pad with a subscription to iTune-U. Through iTunes-U, our students will have digital access to their course textbooks, and apps that will enhance their learning, both in school, and out-of-school. Our i-learn program will enhance learning and bring a world of knowledge right to the fingertips of our students.
Mac Mobile Lab: We seek to innovate instruction by integrating technology into each of our classes through our Mac Mobile Lab. It is our goal to establish a mobile computer lab that will allow our teachers to have access to 25 Mac Books for use in integrating technology into their classrooms. The Mac Mobile lab will provide students with access to digital technologies no matter where they inside, or even outside, the building.
