As has been asserted, the decision to close OUR school was based on an arbitrary and biased assessment done by the Office of Charter Schools, and their office violated the appropriate protocol when conducting our school’s probationary site visit. As such, the the decision to close OUR school was based on information that was misrepresented to the Acting Commissioner of Education. Therefore, please know that the Board of Trustees intends to challenge the Commissioner’s decision, and will be working to keep OUR school open.
However, although we will fight to remain open, as promised, we have reached out the Newark Public Schools to discuss an arrangement for you to apply for alternative educational placements, as a Plan B, for your child for the upcoming school year.
